OUR PROJECTS

Micro-loans for women

Women in India are given an opportunity to start small businesses through a training program and then a small loan. As they successfully repay their loan, they can be given more money for inputs. The first loan is $100 and must be repaid within two months. The repayment success rate is 97%! These women understand that they will be able to grow their businesses faster with the quick turnover of investment and return. The loan money also helps many more people as it is shared and re-loaned multiple times. Some business success stories include brush manufacturing, tailoring, tea shops, and raising goats. These funds can lift families out of desperate poverty and give them opportunity for improved financial security.
